IPAF Operator Course
Aims
To instruct an operator to prepare and operate a scissor lift and self propelled boom safely and efficiently.
- Have a knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and be aware of Risk Assessment and Method Statements
- Know why Personal Protective Equipment is necessary
- Be able to drive and safely manoeuvre a machine and carry out tasks
- Carry out a Pre-Use Check
- Know how to use an Emergency Descent system
Maximum 4 delegates (2 machines) per course
Maximum 6 delegates (1 machine) per course
8.30am Start - Approx 4.00pm Finish
The Candidate will need to bring:
- Hard Hat
- Hi-Vis Jacket
- Safety Boots
- Suitable clothing for cold/wet weather
- Lunch is provided
What does the Candidate receive?
- A 5 year Licence and Wallet Card - on successful completion of the course
- Log Book
- Operator Safety Guide
