What is IPAF

The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) promotes the safe and effective use of powered access worldwide. Set up in 1983, IPAF is a not-for-profit members' organisation that represents the interests of manufacturers, distributors, users, rental and training companies. It serves as a forum for all active in the world of powered access. IPAF has played a key role in promoting many of the design, safety and testing procedures that are now established in the powered access industry.

The program offered will equip participants with the necessary skills to operate MEWPs safely and appropriately. Holding an IPAF PAL card is recognized by numerous organizations, including the HSE, CITB, HAE, and MCG, and meets the requirements of the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and the PUWER regulations 1998.

IPAF's eLearning platform provides a flexible and enhanced online learning experience that delivers the same quality of theory training as a traditional classroom environment. This training can be completed at any time, from any location, and on a range of devices, allowing participants to learn at their own pace.

Our IPAF Operator courses focus on teaching individuals how to prepare and operate different types of access platforms, such as scissor and boom lifts, in a safe and efficient manner. The training covers the proper operation of the equipment, how to conduct pre-inspections, emergency descent procedures, as well as employer and employee responsibilities.

If you are uncertain about which category of access platform to choose, please reach out to our training department at 01782 208723 for guidance.
